The wealthy, beautiful municipality of Arona lies at the foot of the Roque del Condo mountain at a height of 650m. Arona is the administrative headquarters for Los Christianos and a part of Playa de las Americas and that is why it is well signposted. Arona has a beautiful square in front of the church which is a meeting point for the local people. The church of San Antonio Abad is worth visiting as the cross inside the church is interesting for religious as well as for non religious people. Likewise, a nice place of interest is the tree Almácigo de Arona which is a natural monument due to its unusual size and beauty. Arona is not a tourist area but a typical Canarias village, that is why many people like to visit it but still have the choice of going to Los Christianos and Las Americas. It is only 15 km away from the beach.
