Candelaria - Tenerife

Candelaria is situated on the sunny southern coast of Tenerife, in  a distance of approx. 15 km from the capital of the island, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Candelaria has a population of around 2000 people. The town has expanded significantly over the last few years but you won´t find  any artificially built tourism centre. Spending your holiday in Candelaria means enjoying the real Canarias life. The town just offers everything you need - shopping facilities, bars and restaurants and it has a good infrastructure.

A fishing harbour is located at the beautiful promenade where you can go for a romantic walk along the seaside.

Candelaria is the most important pilgrimage town in entire Canarias Islands and on the 14th and 15th of August, thousands of people from all over the Canarias Islands will go to see the Virgin of Candelaria, the saint patron of the archipelago.
