Los Gigantes - guarantee of sun on the west coast of Tenerife

Los Gigantes lies on the most sunny side of the Island, namely the west coast, at the sea level. From Los Gigantes, one has the most spectacular view over the 500m high rock cliffs, the " Acantilado de los Gigantes ", which form the end of the Teno mountains. Los Gigantes was originally fishing village and has still got the old charm although in the meantime a lot of apartments have been build.
 
 In the harbour of Los Gigantes you can book boat trips ( e.g to watch dolphins ), diving or deep sea fishing. A boat trip to " Acantilado de los Gigantes " is a must as only then you can  appreciate the towering cliffs. For the sun lovers, the sea water swimmingpool is a must.
 
As Los Gigantes has turned into a tourist resort, you'll be able to find everything you need here. Plenty of restaurants will serve international food but local food as well. There are many supermarkets as well as souvenir shops.
A rent a car is not necessary but it is advisable if you would like to explore the Island.
