Poris de Abona - on the sunny southern coast of Tenerife

Poris de Abona lies on the southern coast of Tenerife, not far from the capital Santa Cruz . The area is very sunny, which is one of the reasons that some tourist areas have been developed here. Fortunately you won´t find any big hotels; they have been able to find a good balance between the charm of the typical Canarias way of life and  tourist infrastructure. There is a small pebble beach where you can swim or  sunbath. Many people would prefer a sand beach but as it is quite breezy along the coastline between Santa Cruz and El Medano, a pebble beach can be a better option. You won´t get sand in your eyes!

Poris de Abona has a good choice of bars and restaurants but you won´t find any disco here. Therefore you will have to take the car and make a trip to Playa de las Americas or Los Cristianos.
