San Andrés - Living next to the most beautiful beach of Tenerife - Playa de las Teresitas

Located at the foot of Anage mountains, the town of San Andres has been built on a rocky cliff.. However, the main attraction is not the wonderful view over the mountains and the sea but the superb beach of Las Teresitas. This great beach is ideal for swimming due to the breakwater. It is ideal for children too because of the safe flat beach with shallow water. Because of this, the temperature of the water is always higher than in Atlantic. The village lies only a few kilomteres from Santa Cruz, the capital of Tenerife. There are no hotels here but only little holiday accomodations. The village is better equipped for daytrippers. Many restaurants and bars are situated along the streets besides the sea but the ones behind this popular '' promenade'' offer often better and cheaper food. In these streets, you'll find the excellent Canarias fish restaurants which won't offer you a menu but have got the daily catch written on the table. As they say : the fish won't jump  into the net on request .
