The south of the isle is considerable dryer than the north, as it can be seen in its vegetation. In the south the sun shines most of the time. Also the wind blows harder due to the winds coming from the mountains. During hot days, these winds are very welcome. As a general rule , the climate in the south is more balanced than in the north. It doesn't mean that it doesn't get cloudy in winter time and from time to time it rains but the day after the sun shines again.
